UPump automatically checks published Costco warehouse price information from across Canada and consolidates it into one list. The check runs automatically approximately every 2 hours.
All prices are shown in Canadian dollars per litre, taxes included — the way prices are posted on the pump in Canada. Regular, premium, and diesel grades are tracked separately for each station.
Every price passes automatic sanity checks before it is published: the station must be a real tracked warehouse with valid coordinates, and the price must be positive and within a realistic range. If a new price differs wildly from the previous one (for example a data glitch showing $4.999 instead of $1.549), it is held back and the previous price is kept until the next check.
Each station shows when its price was last refreshed (for example, "Updated 38 min ago"). If a refresh is overdue, UPump shows a visible warning instead of pretending the price is fresh.
Prices can change at the station between our checks, and occasional transmission or rounding differences can occur. That is why every page reminds you: prices are indicative — always verify the posted price at the pump before purchasing.
When you use "Near me", UPump can estimate whether driving farther is worth it. The estimate compares fuel savings against the extra driving cost, assuming fuel consumption of 9 L/100 km and a round trip. It is a rough guide, not a guarantee.
